Over the next few years, Vincent had turned the Richard Manno company around, the organization was growing and thus our company was growing with them. After Vincent had implemented the necessary systems and processes for the Richard Manno company to continue growing, he moved on to a larger project at Renu Contracting as the Chief Operating Officer. After a year of working with Renu Vincent called us in to evaluate and repair the organizations existing technical issues. Vincent asked us to propose a low cost, high value plan to the Partners at Renu, promising to make us the exclusive technical services company for Renu and their two sister organizations. Vincent also offered some priceless mentorship, helping us to understand what a larger organization needs and expects from its vendors. Originally when he took over RMC, I personally gave him 6 months given the company history and his lack of knowledge of the manufacturing industry. In the 4 years he was hired to turn around the Richard Manno Co. I watched as he completely rebuilt a manufacturing company. In a short time customers came to see what I witnessed, a determined hands-on professional that absorbed every aspect of running a manufacturing company, and used every aspect to grow sales and increase value added properties to sales. Sales, perception, and results transcended the company to greater heights than RMC had ever experienced. Vincent Chiappone was hired as a "turn around expert" when he came to work for the Richard Manno Co. The family run operation had grown steadily over the years and was a fine company in many ways but Vinny took it to a whole different level. Within about six months, Vinny had dived into every aspect of the company and come up with a game plan that led to increased sales and profitability for the company as well as for their manufacturers reps, like me. My sales increased and my inside manufacturing and sales support were improved dramatically. The level of communication increased as did the detail that was shared. Although Vinny came from "outside the industry" he was a quick learner and he and his team immediately improved manufacturing processes that resulted in us being a more competitive and responsive company.
